This post was originally going to be completely different. I had planned to take this opportunity to announce that, going forward, I was no longer going to be purchasing or reviewing any of the “One D&D” products. I had given WotC the benefit of the doubt and bought and read through their 2024 editions of…
Over the next few weeks I’m going to be diving into the heralded Doom 3. Before jumping into that classic, I wanted a brief refresher on the first two entries in the Doom series. After all, it has been a little while since I played and discussed the original Doom games. Lots has changed since…
This is a review that’s been over twenty years in the making – sort of. Back in 2004, before my wife and I had children, we would occasionally pass our time by playing video games. Back then, one of the systems we owned was the Nintendo GameCube. Since both of us liked to play, I…
I have to say, as my backlog continues to venture into the territory of “online only” games, it’s starting to get a little tough to write some of these reviews. Allow me to elaborate. The game I’m going to discuss today is Unreal Tournament 2004. I’m writing this in 2025, and as you may have…

And, while it wasn’t the most riveting horror title I’ve played, there were enough unique gameplay elements that I knew I wanted to see more. If…
In the next few days, I’m going to be posting reviews for both Fatal Frame II and Unreal Tournament 2003/2004. With the completion of these two titles, I have finally cleared the last game of 2003 on my main backlog. Now, I could easily just continue chugging along down my list as I’ve always done….
Those of you that know how I feel about modern D&D vs old school D&D are probably shocked to see that I’m posting an article for Daggerheart. Honestly, I’m a bit surprised I even pulled the trigger and bought a copy. After all, if you paid any attention to the hype surrounding this release, you…
Goodman Games has done it again! The latest entry in the Original Adventures Reincarnated line finally out and should be available in stores shortly after I publish this review. For OAR #9, Goodman Games chose to modernize the classic dungeon module, The Caverns of Thracia. Like the previous conversion of Dark Tower, this mega-dungeon is…
