My Half-Life mini-series is almost at an end. Today, I’m going to talk about a game that I’ve wanted to review for quite some time, Portal 2. I posted my review for the first Portal game earlier this year, and in that review, I praised the game for its unique gameplay elements and originality. To…
I know it’s been a while. But I’m back with the next game in my “Half-Life” series review. I’ve spent the last few months putting this game through its paces and today, I’m going to be discussing Left 4 Dead 2. I’ll be the first to admit that it shouldn’t have taken me as long…
The next entry in my “Half-Life” review series is the 2008 hit, Left 4 Dead. You may be asking why I’ve decided to include this title in my review of Half-Life related games. After all, unlike some of the other games I’ve discussed, Left 4 Dead was not included in the Orange Box. Even though…
This is a review that’s going to be very difficult for me to write. I say this because I really just don’t like this game, Period. I don’t like it. But, I do recognize that a lot of people do. And, even though I don’t care for the game, I’m not blind to the things…

One of the drawbacks of doing game reviews the way I do is that I’m always behind the curve. For my reviews, I like to play games by chronological release date. Yes, I make exceptions from time to time. But the reason I do this is so that I can see how the industry has…
This is a review that has been a long time coming. Today I’m going to talk about the original Call of Duty. This is the game that spawned an entire franchise as well as a slew of copycats. Yes, I realize that in its own way, Call of Duty is arguably a clone of another…
I’m going to start the month off with a review for a game that was added to my backlog after being requested from multiple readers. The game in question is Devil May Cry. This is one that I’ve never played before and one that was not originally on my list. As I said above, about…
I am slowly but surely reaching the end of my Final Fantasy playthroughs! As much as I hoped to be finished with the entire series by the end of this year, it seems I may miss that goal by just a hair. Regardless, I present to you my review of Final Fantasy XIII. FFXIII is…
