Site Update: 2026

I want to start this post by apologizing for my lack of updates recently. The last few weeks have seen me working on both a brand new design for the website and also taking a much needed vacation. However, now that both of those are behind me, I can once again turn my focus to providing new reviews and content updates.
Regarding the new site design, my goal with the revamp is to modernize the site and improve performance. After much testing, I think I’ve finally hit the sweet spot. The front page layout should be more readable for both desktop and mobile devices and the load time should be even better than it was before. I’m sure there’s a few pesky visual bugs that will pop-up here and there (especially in older posts), but as I find them I will correct them. If you come across any issues, feel free to drop me a comment and I’ll get to work on fixing things right away.
Regarding content updates, at the time of this writing, the next thing I plan to write is a review for Halo 2. This post will be followed by the next entry in my “Half-Life” series of game reviews. The next game on that shortlist is Left 4 Dead 2. Once that game is in the bag, there’s only two more titles to go – Portal 2 and Counter Strike 2. With those out of the way, it will be time for another random game series that will be decided by die roll. It is my hope to have those Half-Life reviews complete by the end of August. Of course, I’ll still have plenty of other articles scattered throughout.
To be completely honest, I can’t fully blame the lack of updates on simply my vacation or the new layout. I’ve also been spending A LOT of the my free time streaming. I’ve had a blast playing Arc Raiders and more recently, starting a new stream for Final Fantasy XI. That’s right, Final Fantasy XI in 2026… I’ve always claimed that FFXI is quite possibly the greatest game I’ve ever played and with my new playthrough, I find that statement is still true.
That brings me to my next point. Regarding streaming, I’ve made a big decision. I’ve decided to leave Rumble and stream exclusively on YouTube. The reason for this departure is quite simple, I have a bigger audience on YouTube. I still firmly believe in the values that Rumble stands for and the roadmap for that platform is both exciting and revolutionary. I truly believe that Rumble will be a major competitor in the years to come. But for now, YouTube is going to be my focus.
With all of that said, give me a few more days to get my head back into the game and new content will start to follow.
