I really don’t know why I do this to myself. It’s true, I’ve enjoyed quite a few of the new Star Wars canon novels. But, for every one that I’ve enjoyed, there’s been more than a few that were lackluster (and that’s putting it mildly). I’m not going to beat around the bush here. Today’s…
The first season of Andor was a sleeper hit. I admit, I didn’t have very high expectations from it. But by the time the season had ended, I was hooked. It ranked right up there with Rogue One in terms of quality (something that is sorely lacking from most Star Wars releases these days). So,…
I’m going to be honest. After the disaster that was The Acolyte, I wasn’t sure if I was going to bother watching any more Disney Star Wars. That show was such a dumpster fire that it essentially turned me off from the entire franchise. Considering that I grew up watching and loving Star Wars –…
Here we have what I consider to be final novel in the Journey to Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker line. The book is Resistance Reborn by Rebecca Roanhorse. This book serves as the official set-up to The Rise of Skywalker. Despite being a rabid Star Wars fan. I have to admit that I’ve only…
It’s been a little over two years since I last read and reviewed a Star Wars novel. The main reason for this hiatus is twofold. First, with a few exceptions, I found the overall quality of the last several books to be severely lacking. So much so that I was starting to get burned out….
As I’ve mentioned in previous posts about Disney’s Star Wars, a lot of people have strong opinions about the direction Disney has taken the franchise. And while I’ve had some annoyances with certain creative decisions, for the most part I don’t have a problem with the majority of what’s hit the screen. That is, until…
When it comes to all of the Star Wars shows that Disney is cranking out, I have mixed emotions. On one hand, I’m excited to see new stories in the Star Wars universe. But on the other, I always worry that these new tales might somehow overwrite or cheapen the adventures that I’ve come to…
I know that I’m a bit late with this review, but the second season of The Bad Batch has finally concluded and I’m here to share my thoughts. I will admit, a big part of my delay is because it took me a bit longer than anticipated to watch it. And, if I’m being completely…
It is an interesting time to be a Star Wars fan. It seems like every time you turn around there’s a new announcement regarding the franchise. In the last month alone, Disney has announced a brand new Star Wars film set after the events of Episode IX and it will highlight the character of Rey…
Andor was one of the first live-action series announced by Disney several years ago. Ever since, it has been the subject of much speculation. Obviously, the series was to focus on the character of Cassian Andor (introduced in the Rogue One film). While most fans agreed that Andor was an excellent character, a large portion…
